This seems like a great handbook for getting the basics of management down! Something like this would be so helpful to someone looking to increase their skills in the workplace or elsewhere.

I am no longer in the corporate world, so this book does not really resonate with me. However, I am unsure if one can be an effective manager just by reading the book, or even tons of other books. A leader needs both theory and practice, and a lot of grace from on high.

One thing I like about this book is that it didn't only point out the problems that people face as managers; it also gave solutions to prevent such issues and recommendations on how to use them to obtain an ideal result. I like book that really provides solutions. Congratulations on book of the day!

I find it positive that the book does not focus on theoretical management concepts, but rather provides a lot of factual information. Undoubtedly, this motivates the reader to test the recommendations received. In addition, the book emphasizes solutions to prevent the mentioned problems. Sounds interesting.

This book demonstrates what being a manager means. Many employees do not understand all of the functions of being a manager.

This is ideal for young professionals who are in a managerial position. This could have been ideal for me 25 years ago. Thank you for your review!

It's true; a manager does not just need to be a good leader but a well-rounded individual as well. The fact that the author has considered this and provided valuable self-development guidance as well is amazing. Great review!

Apart from a little repetition, this book seems like a useful resource for those thinking of pursuing a career in management, as well as new managers, and seasoned employees. I liked the overall structure of the book, with chapter progression and clearly highlighted segments within each. Thanks for a good review on this book.

For one to be or become a good manager he or she must have good understanding of management and well experiences. However anyone can go through learning to acquire knowledge of management to be a manager but practically will fell many times on the field or as a leader and that is why l give credit to the writer for clearly stating that " through his wealth of information and experience, Rene gives a compilation of what is expected of a manager and how to make a good manager", and l love that. Great review.

The strength and progress of any company depends on how grounded the manager is with skills from building a work culture of mutual trust, focusing on employees strength, being assertive, help developing employees carrier, be able to handle pressure, communicate honestly and open to new ideas.

I should think that even experienced managers will get something out of this book. It could be used as a refresher and it may provide new insights and food for thought.

Congrats for BOTD. This is very encouraging, no one should say he can’t start up a business when with this book.
