Real stories of real soldiers like this are gut-wrenching. James gave his all to serve his country. It’s beautiful to see him collaborate and bring his experiences to paper and immortalize them as such. I don’t usually like war stories, since I’m more of a happy-go-luck kinda girl but I’m sure many readers who enjoy the genre will love James’s story.

War is ugly. Even uglier when children are involved or there are casualties. However, you wrote a fantastic review about this book. Kudos.

Hearing about war is very saddening let alone reading about it. This book seems interesting, unfortunately, I am not a fan of war books.

I have heard a lot of stories concerning the Vietnam war, but I haven't understood what the war was about it what prompted it. I believe this book will go a long way in enlightening me.

The effects of war are really severe. We see a lot of soldiers battling with PTSD and other mental illnesses. It is so sad. Great review.

War is a truly unpleasant event, it leaves nothing but pain and trauma to it's survivors, I like that it contains information about Thailand and it's culture.
Great review
