Thanks for a good review. I'm not sure if I would read this all the way through or close the book after a few pages and never open it again. I'm not into reading other people's complaints or gossip, especially the petty nonsense that permeates most office environments. It would have to be extremely witty and funny to offset my distaste for that and keep me reading.

I would say it's not extremely funny. However, it is witty and very relatable. It's not gossip in the same way as office gossip at the water cooler is. It's really just two friends sharing their frustrations and having a few laughs along the way. No really nasty, below the belt comments here.

Thanks Rachelamb1 and Gali for taking the time to read my review and comment! I admit the text message format drove me a little bonkers at first. After I got used to it, the book was a quick read.

Zeldas_lullaby, that's a good question. The texts are not written in text speak. I think there may have been one or two words in text speak (for example, LOL), but that's about it. I probably should have clarified that in the review, in case people were wondering.

Great review! I've been looking for a humorous nonfiction book to help me break out of my fiction rut, and it looks this book might be the one.

I like that term, "fiction rut". It's nice to read books out of your comfort zone. I've found a few gems that way.

I never read a book done in text format before. However, I once read a book that consisted solely of emails.

I love this review! I, too, hate my job. I work with highly educated morons in a very small office. Some of the stuff they do to fill up a eight hour work day is crazy. I hate the drama trauma myself. Excellent review, I will have to read this book soon.

It took me a few pages to get into it, but the writing wasn't really "text speak". It was just text format, but pretty much regular sentences except for the usual LOL's.

I admit that it was a little difficult to read the book in text format, even though there wasn't really any text speak. I guess I am just used to read sentences across a page.
