A very well detailed review. This review taught me that having too much power can lead to a lot of misuse. Power abuse, improper financial management, subpar management, and unsuccessful project planning and execution occurred, just as in the evaluation. Given how terrible and damaging it is, this isn't how it should be.

Gordon Graham is highly respected author and speaker in the field of law enforcement and public safety. “The Intrepid Brotherhood” is also focus on topics decision making and leadership in high stress environment. It also shows ability to provide actionable strategies and guidance that can be applied to real world situations and also shows good upon evil. The book also suggests that even in the face of adversity or evil, there is potent for good to emerge or to be found.

Well thought out review. Cant say the same about the book. I am sorry. But I gotta say it as I feel. Not my cup of tea.

A book that tells the story of the author’s struggle against corruption and whistleblowing in a public utility district in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. The book is based on the author’s personal experiences as the director of the Information Technology Department of the Chelan County Public Utility District, where he faced intimidation, distrust, and secrecy from the top management. The book reveals how the author filed a whistleblower petition to expose the mismanagement and fraud that was happening in the organization, and how he faced retaliation and termination as a result.

In this book, readers are taken on a riveting journey into the heart of corruption, power dynamics, and corporate ethics in the Pacific Northwest. A powerful testament to the perils of leadership gone astray and the undying spirit of those who stand for integrity. Congratulations on being BOTD!

I enjoyed reading this review. It is detail-oriented, and I applaud the author for his good work. I believe that appointing unqualified people to positions of power usually leads to huge organizational problems. As in this case, Charlie's appointment led to mismanagement of funds, oppression, and mismanagement of projects.

It sounds like Charlie used his power wrongly to his subordinates. While the topics of leadership, and business ethics are important, in which the story involves; however, I have less interest delving into these topics as of now, so I'll pass. Nevertheless, congratulations to the author on BOTD!

Good review. I think you would have added more substance to the introduction by explaining the origin of the conflict between the new general manager and Gordon. For example, how did their personalities or existing work culture create the right conditions for conflict?

The memoir seems to delve into the intricate relationships between commitment to work, loyalty to a supervisor, and business ethics. The author's experience could be a compelling case study for the business and management fields.

The misuse of power and mismanagement highlighted in the review is indeed troubling and destructive. It's a stark reminder of the impact that poor governance can have on individuals and society as a whole.
