Re: Review of Being Mother
I totally agree with you, Omneya. I am a stay-at-home mom for my homeschooling daughter, and finding time for myself is an incredibly difficult feat to achieve. After reading this book, I realized that it is even more crucial for us to take care of our needs because otherwise, our children will be struggling, sacrificing, and doing everything the way we did when they grew up.Omneya Shakeep wrote: ↑13 May 2023, 16:23 Oprah Winfrey's words are so true. I remember my grandmother's role in raising me with my mother. It is also true that taking care of yourself helps your children's character development, but it also gives you enough positive energy to function normally under the stress of responsibility, which is huge. As a mother of two, I believe this wholeheartedly, but the problem is always finding time for yourself. By the time I finish taking care of my children, I am too exhausted to do anything else. The most I can give myself is time to relax. Thanks for this engaging and insightful review, Nisha. This is an amazing review! I hope this book appears in my selection soon.
I, too, hope that you get to read it soon. Thank you so much, Omneya, for sharing your thoughts and kind words.

It is wonderful that you too take your 'Me' time to take care of yourself. It is so important for your mental stability and peace. And thank you for your kind words, Catalina.Catalina Isabel wrote: ↑20 Jun 2023, 05:16 This seems to be an excellent book, even from reading your words in this review, Nisha. I wholeheartedly agree with what you said! As a mum of two under 4, and working as well, I rarely find much time for myself. However, I make it a point to do something I enjoy each day, and even more so in weekends. I take days off work for my own "self care" at times. I have a great circle of friends. This is a beautiful reminder of the importance of us thinking of ourselves as much as others.
