Yes, I agree with the reviewer, the font is quite plain and ‘block’, and I also would have preferred some interesting pictures or illustrations to lighten the load a little. Dividing chapters are nice too. But all in all, not bad.

Trying out crossword puzzles in a different format looks like a fascinating challenge. Because of this format, it is also extremely compact, portable, and available to everyone. It also saves paper, which makes it a more sustainable and environmentally friendly option.

Long before the almighty Internet was ubiquitous, I used to do a lot of crossword puzzles. This took me back. They are a great past time and they keep your brain sharp.
I'm with you on the aesthetics, though.
Thank you for your review.

I purchased this book from Amazon. I looked at the first puzzle for 10 minutes and could not figure out any of the answers. That is good! I want the challenge. I always feel satisfaction and a sense of accomplishment after I complete a crossword puzzle.

Daniel Fonkem puts together 240 spectacular crossword puzzles in this book, The Grids of the Word Crosser - Complete Edition. As with most crosswords, these puzzles were in the form of white and black shaded squares. The author also included clues divided into an across drop-down and a down drop-down that will aid in your understanding and figuring out the answers to the puzzles. If you're familiar with cryptic puzzles and love crosswords, then The Grids of the Word Crosser - Complete Edition is a great way to go!

I must confess that it took me a lot of time to solve the clues. However, there are so many things to love about this book! The first is that the author's clues, although tricky, were of great help in solving these puzzles. Also, when I feel I am done with a puzzle, I scroll down to the solution guide or section to cross-check my work. This section helped me verify my answers. I would advise, however, not to depend on the solution section, as that would take away the fun of solving the clues. This book was also free of errors. All the words were properly spelled; I took my time to check.

My least favourite thing about this book is the font used. I am a bit aesthetic and would have preferred a brighter colour for the book. This is not so much of an issue as it doesn't take anything away from the book itself.

In conclusion, I will rate this book 5 out of 5 stars, as I should. There is nothing worthy of note that should deny this book such a perfect rating, and it offers people who enjoy crossword puzzles a fun time.

I would recommend this book to those who enjoy crossword puzzles and to those seeking to try them out.

Wow... I honestly never thought of crosswords puzzles formed together to become a book. If you like crosswords puzzles as a hobby but find the exercises in newspapers too easy, you'll love this book. It's quite the challenge!

Daniel Fonkem's "The Grids of the Word Crosser - Complete Edition" is a treasure trove for crossword enthusiasts, offering 240 meticulously crafted puzzles. While the book adheres to the classic format of white and black squares, it's the author's cleverly designed clues that truly stand out, providing both a challenge and a sense of satisfaction upon solving. Though I found some puzzles particularly time-consuming, the solution guide was invaluable for verification, though relying on it too heavily might diminish the thrill of the challenge. The book is impeccably error-free, a testament to the author's attention to detail. My only minor gripe is the choice of font and color, which could benefit from a bit more vibrancy. Nonetheless, these are trivial concerns in the grand scheme of things. Overall, I rate this book a perfect 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it to both seasoned crossword solvers and those looking to delve into the world of word puzzles.
