lovely review! It's a scary thing to read other people's poetry, unless you are willing to have a glimpse of their soul. I'm glad that you enjoyed this collection, this sounds intriguing!

Great review! Very descriptive, I don't really read poetry all that often, but I totally enjoyed your review. I also checked out the sample from Amazon and found it not to be a very good sample at all with all because of the long forward. I was hoping to get a sampling of the actual poetry content.

That is a very unique way to achieve flow, but it would have thrown me until I figured it out

I think that would be confusing too and I don't particularly care for poetry, but as always you write a great review.

I love that the author included the stories behind the poems! Too bad the poems only account for a small portion of the book, though. Great review!

Thank you for the review. I've started the book and ran into some of the same confusion in the text. This helps ?As soon as I went back to th book, I saw the relationship between the grey text and the poems immediately. Thanks!

Interesting concept. It'll be fun to see what the author can do with such an economy of words. Thanks for the review!

THanks for your comprehensive review. I don't really read poetry that much although I used to love writing poetry but these sound simple and easy to read and I love that the author explains them.

I too enjoy reading poetry so I think I will enjoy this. It sounds like a unique take on conventional poetry. Great review!

Since my son lived in Japan for five years, I had some personal interest in this book. That, and being a life therapist I liked the idea of expressing life in 25 words or less. I enjoyed the review. It gave me a good idea of the book and would help me read it more easily.

Thanks for the review. I might be interested in the haiku which were written in Japan, but I'll probably give this one a pass.

Nice, insightful review! I actually like the concept of the inspiration and backstories behind the poems, even if these parts take up a significant part of the book. However, the way the poems are formatted seems confusing.

By the way, meeting on a poetry website...talk about "meeting cute." :)
