The review was quite inclusive. Personal struggle is always painful to the participants. The interaction between Mike and his mother is indicative of all personal struggles. Life is, in itself, a tug between humanity whenever the point is emotions. Always, a joy of ease to view the willingness of one human to help another regardless of the condition. Heroin is such a strong external injection into the being. However, not more deadly than judgment. Well-accounted reviews.

Thank you for sharing your heartfelt review of Linda Morrison’s memoir, “Dear Heroin: A Memoir of Goodbyes.” Your insights into her unwavering dedication to Mike amidst pain and disappointment resonate deeply. Morrison's story, which starts with the heartbreaking news of her son's passing, effectively conveys the emotional torment that families dealing with addiction endure. Readers are given a close-up view of the intricacies of addiction through the book's vivid memories, which are a testament to both love and sorrow. The notion that this memoir serves as both a reopening of wounds and a means of healing is particularly poignant. This story, which emphasizes that treatment requires not only the addict but also their loved ones, is crucial for comprehending the wider ramifications of addiction. It promotes awareness and empathy both inside and outside of recovery communities.

It is quite devastating to lose a loved one in dead, especially if what caused their death was influenced by addiction to drugs. Mike must have been a dear some to his mom. I will follow through Linda Morrison's story as when open up to we readers about his son and what events took place leading to his death. I'd also like to know how Linda Morrison coped with all the challenges she had to go though. I will read the book.

Just like how no child or spouse wants to hear that their loved ones are no longer with them it's the same how no parent ever wants to hear that their child is no longer with them. This indeed sounds like a heart wrenching story/ memoir. I'm not a fan of this genre but I'd definitely read.

Today's BOTD is an emotional memoir that details a mother's love for her son who was addicted to heroin and the struggles and challenges she faced trying to save him before he lost his life. I think this is a book we all should read, not only to learn the signs of addiction, but to also see how the disease affects everyone, directly and indirectly involved. This sounds absolutely heartbreaking, but I'm looking forward to hearing Linda and Mike's story. Thank you so much for your review! :-)

Linda is such a courageous woman sharing her and her son's story with the world. Addiction is a horrible decease. I never heard the expression that it is a family disease, but it makes sense since indeed entire families suffer with the addicted person. I can imagine it is a heavy read, but surely worth it not in the least because of the love of a mother for her child.
