What a great choice now that we are all in the Olympic/Paralympic craze! I can't imagine my life without swimming, so this is a particularly inspiring story for me. I'm glad it discusses activism because we can't have more stories like Sarah's if we don't stop the deep-rooted ableism in the system. Thank you for your review.

Sarah Storey's life is inspiring and worthy of admiration. In addition to her experiences battling bullying, illness, and injuries, she managed to excel in the fields of swimming and cycling and become a social activist contributing to society and community welfare.

Over the years, I’ve gradually learned more about the Paralympics in bits and pieces. However, this book seems like an excellent starting point for a more in-depth exploration of the subject, particularly given the focus on individual athletes and their journeys.

The book provides a detailed and engaging account of Storey’s achievements and personal life, making it a compelling read for sports enthusiasts and general readers alike. While some may find the analysis of broader implications lacking, the narrative is a powerful tribute to Storey’s exceptional journey and achievements.

Sarah's journey toward greatness is inspirational, and encouraging, despite her being bullied, and having to face sickness at some point, she chose to stay positive and never focused on what she didn't have. This book is an inspiration.

This novel immediately captured my attention with its beautiful language and striking descriptions. The author's ability to tell such a deep, emotionally charged story is just amazing. Every character is rendered remarkably authentic and nuanced, leaving an indelible impression. The topics covered in the book captivate the reader and elicit a range of feelings and introspection. This book serves as a potent illustration of the tremendously positive and uplifting effects that literature may have, leaving a long-lasting mark on the mind and heart. It's an experience that lasts long after the last page, not just a story."
