Brutally honest stories are always eye-opening, even if not politically correct. I might be interested in checking this one out. Nice review!

To know about the life of people is always intriguing but I don't think this book is for me. I'm a sensitive person and I always avoid reading about war and military

While it seems that this book targets a specific audience, I would still want to know what the author thinks about manhood. The title/question is really intriguing. Looking forward to reading this autobiography. Thank you for your review!

Very interesting book. I don't think this one is for me, although not because of too much honesty.

I am drawn to brutally honest stories about life. Based on your review, the reader will not only understand the transition that a man goes through from boyhood to manhood but will also learn more about the real life of military personnel. Great review.

What a gripping opening scene! A violent incident that clearly effected the writer, and that we get to witness vividly. It really pulled me in.
"Every reader is, while he is reading, the reader of his own self. The writer's work is merely a kind of optical instrument which he offers to the reader to enable him to discern what...he would perhaps never have perceived in himself."

Good review. An autobiography of the author's life from a child in Texas to a Navy corpsman sounds enlightening. I'll be checking this out. Congrats on being BOTD.

Mark’s extraordinary experiences and storytelling are vivid, the deeper value is in his examination of masculinity.

What an appealing cover this book has! I really like it. From reading the sample and now the review, it is definitely something I would like to read and so I will be purchasing the book. The work appears professionally edited and provides a good insight into what you are to expect from the book.
