It's good to know about different part of the world, it's culture, political view's, development, issues, how people operate there, it's significance, what's set them unique or apart from rest of the world. This book gripping narration about South African's history.

Wow! Awesome and crisp review on the book that provides an insight on what the readers can expect. The sub title 'Lose your culture, Lose your honor' is perfectly italicized in review as it sure will capture everyone's eyes. When you said that the author had repeatedly echoed the message, I can only imagine how much the South African people must have suffered providing such an impact to the user.

I haven't watched the movie. However, I believe that the book will contain details of what happened in the movie, if not more. I've always found the Apartheid regime in South Africa an interesting topic.

Bongani Yona’s ‘Isazisi: The Book’ is a profound exploration of the erosion of South African culture, drawing from the narrative of its companion feature film script. It delves into the subtle yet perilous decline of indigenous conditions under the shadow of Apartheid’s legacy, highlighting overlooked aspects like land rights, migration, and the influences of politics and globalization. The book critically examines the transformation of culture through sports and religion, revealing the exploitation of African athletes by foreign nations and the repercussions of their loss. Yona calls for urgent recognition and action against this cultural decay, emphasizing the profound message, ‘Lose Your Culture, Lose Your Honour,’ and illustrating the insidious effects on traditions, languages, and customs. The author’s passionate repetition underscores his deep concern for the subject, which is further validated in the revised edition, earning it a five-star rating. ‘Isazisi’ is recommended for a broad audience, including South African citizens, government officials, and global readers.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on "Isazisi: The Book" by Bongani Yona. It’s clear that the book delves deeply into the cultural disintegration in South Africa and brings to light some very important issues, such as land ownership, migrations, and the impact of globalization. Your mention of how sports and religion have transformed culture was particularly intriguing. I appreciate your insight into the repetitive nature of the book's message, and it’s interesting to hear how that repetition emphasizes the author’s distress and passion for the subject. It sounds like Yona’s candid perspective on the cultural challenges faced by South Africa is both eye-opening and necessary.

Globalization makes everything seem similar. Everyone is in the same clay, just doing different things. How unique is that? Does it not get boring? Today's book talks about cultural disintegration. Congratulations on the BOTD, and best wishes for future projects.
