Great review. Apart from the history of chess, how else did this book stand out from the classic chess books? Did you learn new strategies ? Anyways, I look forward to reading this book and polishing my strategies.

Chess has always been a game that intrigues me. When I was a child, my father taught me to play games. Throughout my lifetime, I’ve grown to appreciate knowing the rules and that we can apply them to everyday life. This book sounds fantastic and has a 5-star rating. Great review.

I probably need the basics before evolving to tactics. But I'm glad the book is helpful, and the history of chess is surely fascinating.
Thank you for your review!

I’ve never actually played chess. Everything that I’d ever heard about it made me think that it was just a game for “rich” people who had all the time in the world to devote to being better than others. Now I see that this is not the case. Congratulations on BOTD!

I lost interest in chess because my older brother was always beating me. Well, if this book promises to help rookies like me, then I may give chess another attempt. Thank God I have a copy of this book now.

I enjoyed your review. I know the basics of playing chess, but I never got into the game. I will have to read the book to learn about all the strategies and moves, and the reasoning behind them.
