This sounds like an excellent book. I have been there and done that with a marriage myself. It can definitely be rough to go through. The reviewer mentions Bible verses being in the book and adding more depth. That will certainly be helpful for the readers. Sometimes in an abusive relationship, the abused person gets so beat down that they cannot tell up from down. Added depth will definitely help to explain things better. I am looking forward to reading this book. Sad that it happened though.

Relationships are not meant to damage a person emotionally. Instead, it should make the lives of both parties even better. Ruth's story is really encouraging and am impressed by her resilience all along in her relationship.
Thanks for the engaging review!

The book's great for identifying emotionally abusive relationship and how to deal with them. Ruth's personal account makes female readers care. It drives home the fact that a partner's true colors only show after spending a long enough time with them, and it may be too late when the marriage is sealed.
I write the best reviews possible. :idea2:

Although Ruth Ferguson references Bible passages to portray God as a savior in times of struggle, I don’t believe this makes the book inherently religious. Instead, it leans on a profound concept—perhaps inspired by faith—that emphasizes belief in the divine and reliance on God as the eternal presence.
We need more books like this to remind us of the strength of our faith and the immense power within our hearts.
Thank you for your review.

As a male, I am inclined to defend my gender when issues of abuse come up in a conversation. However, over time I have seen the toll abuse takes on people, especially those done within the confines of marriage. To that end, I encourage every woman going through any kind of marital abuse to leave that man before he cuts your destiny short.

It is very brave to share traumatic experiences openly with others. Emotional abuse is probably more difficult to understand than physical abuse, because the scars aren't visible to others. Providing guidelines for others in a similar situation will be much appreciated, I'm sure! Thank you for your informative review.
