Author Ledbetter's nonfiction book explores the complex and sensitive topics of racism, slavery, immigration, and entitlement schemes. He rightly describes that merely beginning a conversation demands the ability and willingness to be tough and objective. I agree with the thoughts about quotas.
Great review. Timely book.

Great review! I could never understand the fact that Black people continually use the "N" word when it is highly offensive if a White person says it. No one should be saying it and maybe the word will die out.

This book sounds like a bold and insightful take on race and racism, tackling issues that many shy away from. I appreciate how the author challenges double standards and encourages open, honest discussions rather than surface-level solutions. The debate around the N-word and cultural appropriation stood out to me; it’s complex, but it’s important to have these conversations. It’s refreshing to see a book that pushes for objective thinking instead of just following popular narratives. Definitely seems like a read that would challenge perspectives and spark meaningful discussions.

Will we ever live in a world where everyone is evaluated purely on their skills, personality, compassion, etc. I.e. on human traits? Discrimination is wrong, and using words that offend other people is hurtful without any other purpose. Perhaps books like these and honest discussions can bring people closer together and foster trust and appreciation. Thank you for your informative review.

I couldn't find the free sample of the book, but I am interested in learning more. From the sound of the review, the author might give their life story, so hopefully that is true so I can find the reasoning behind his opinion on racism. Knowing the author's full perspective would be helpful.

Racism for sure still exists and the quotation from the book above is one of the best definitions of this cancer that continues to ravage and destroy people's dreams and hope to realize better lives. This is on my to-read shelf.
Thanks for this amazing review, @Chinazo Anozie.

A White Man's Perspectives on Race and Racism" by Zephareth Ledbetter. Seeks to destroy racism and it's effects on humans. We ought to destroy the mindset of racism that stemmed from unknown selfish ambition. Wonderful review!

Congrats on BOTD!
Zephareth Ledbetter's "A White Man's Perspectives on Race and Racism" speaks candidly on racist systems, appropriation of cultures, and the N-word conundrum. Known for encouraging communication rather than conflict, this moderate approach questions conventions.

Any book that looks objectively at the contentious topic of racism is always well worth reading. A White Man's Perspectives on Race and Racism by Zephareth Ledbetter is an objective examination of the causes and effects of racism. Sensitive topics, such as immigration, are also discussed in the book. In the review, Chinazo Anozie expressed admiration for the author's views on the topics. I think the review was balanced and well-presented. Great job!

Racism is a bane in our society and has caused many people pains and agony. I like that the author, against all odds has decided to talk about this very sensitive issue as it affect the human race. However, I strongly agreed with the author that; jobs and positions should be awarded based on merit and not quota or race. Congrats to the author on being the #BOTD!
