The book by Scott La Pierre , Marriage Gods Way , this is a good book ,l think for any relationship to last one must submit to God and respect each other the relationship will have a spiritual foundation, and a wife is a best mans friend or helper ,so husband and wife must help each other and believe in God

I'm glad to see a book working to help the marriage crisis today, I am so lucky in my marriage and saddened when I see unhappiness in others.

Can I ask why you say this wouldn't be appropriate to the LGBT community? Does it reference man/woman specific scriptures in a non-inclusive way towards the LGBT community? (Please don't misunderstand, I am fully aware of arrays of scripture verbiage as it pertains to marriage.) I am just wondering if this stands out as a strictly conservative Christian guide to marriage since many liberal churches accept LGBT marriage.

:) From your account of the book, I have been convinced that it is going to be a book worth reading. I would want to know how our relationships with our spouse are reflections of our relationship with God. That really caught my attention

Exactly. Even the description of the book says "it is a conservative Christian marriage book that stays faithful to the Scripture"

There are so many books on marriage out there it is hard to know which ones might actually be helpful. I too take my time reading books like this so I can really consider the changes I need to make. My husband and I are in the middle of a video series called iMarriage and the speaker in it says that we are called by God to love our spouse as he loves us. It has really stuck with me and I try to think about that every day. This book seems like it would be a really good fit for us. We are the typical "nagging" wife and "lazy" husband (although you said stubborn I have more of an issue with motivating my husband to get stuff done). Thanks for the review. I appreciate your insights.

This book is much needed especially in today's world where many couples are opting for divorce instead of communicating their issues. Great review

Even though your review is great it cannot explain all as the book and that is why I need it. I can't understand how my marriage problems are symptoms of my problems in relationship with God. I think Marriage God's Way has an answer. Let me check.
