I appreciate the author's honesty in discussing the hard truths of color, race, class, and wealth, which do not benefit today's problems. Thank you for your review.

The review of the book tells of a woman's story of life in Nigeria with her family and how she escapes to the United States to follow her dreams and become successful. The author tells of how she has learned to take the best aspects of people around her and learn from them to make her choices in life. I read the free sample and found this woman's journey and outlook on life to be very inspirational.

It sounds like an interesting memoir with many lessons for others. Government should not control people's lives and encouraging anyone to qualify for handouts is mind boggling. The helpful growth tips, advice on investing and being the best version of yourself sound like meaningful advice. Thank you for your informative review.

"They Love You Until You Start Thinking for Yourself" by Monica Omorodion Swaida seems likes a very uplifting book written by an author with a very positive outlook. I like that the author does not “mince words” and tackles the topic of how division has eaten into the growth of our nation. The fact that it is not only a memoir but also includes growth tips and bits on investing and being the best versions of yourself is a plus. It sounds like a very motivational read indeed!

Thank you for your review. I read the sample. Monica tells her life story. She is a reliable and brave person. She left her family and made it on her own as a juvenile and traveled to other countries. When she needed support, her brother, an entrepreneur, took her under his wing and taught her how to make a living. Great book for all ages.
