She was a strong woman who cared for my father with Alzheimer's. How difficult it is to watch those you love slowly slip away. It is nice to see extraordinary people write about difficult times. We learn so much from other experiences; it allows us to see we are not alone — a great review I will have to read this book soon.
I'm sorry for your loss. Your mother sounds like a remarkable woman. I appreciate your comment.

This sounds like a powerful memoir about a mother-daughter relationship and family that deals with the real challenges of dementia. Thank you for the great review.

This is such a prevalent problem in our society right now. I admire the author for telling her story about her mother. I hope it helps those going through something similar.

I enjoyed reading your review. It sounds like Hall wrote an extremely moving, beautiful memoir. As my mom and I are very close, I'm anxious to read this book.

Thanks for the review. It sounds like the author has found a way to remember her mother as she was before the disease, which is difficult for many family members to do.

What a great review. I have faced a lot of tragedy in my life. I tend to shy away from literature that will make me face pain. This book does sound lovely, though. It sounds like would have some great insight for living through trials with a James 1 heart ; finding joy in our struggles.
