It seems like Moon was given a mixed bag of a life earlier on, encountering hardship just when it seemed as though things might go. It takes a strong person to pull through these kinds of tragedies and have the experience better them. I’m not really into books about missionaries, but this still sounds like an inspirational tale. Thank you for the helpful review.

I have always been fascinated by the story of North and south korea. I think the stories in the books of this series will come in handy. I love this review.

Moon's story is surrounded by hardships, loss of family, survival through war and finding a new religion that changes his life. It's clearly an inspirational story.

The moon story is always a perfect one. Most specifically, whoever that loss sense in life, should summit his or herself to the moon. The life would regained it straight.

I really do not enjoy reading books on faith and spirituality so I am going to pass on this one. Thanks for the great review!

Moon's story sounds absolutely inspiring. It is sad that he lost his entire family to a senseless war. I like that his encounter with Chaplain Vadja rekindled and redirected his passion and purpose. This story is worth reading.

This sounds like a good book but not something I would read. I don't read Christianity books or any books about people finding religion. However, I know for a fact that this would be an amazing book for other people. The review is well-written and I thank the writer for taking the time to write it.

Moon seemed to have a challenging start at life, and dealt many hardships. Losing his mom, losing his grandma, then his dad smuggled him back to where he lives just to face more hardship in his life. Meeting the chaplain was the best cards dealt to him so far in life, so he wanted the same life as him. Coming to America became the start of his new life and his chance to change his life for good. I can't wait to read the book to see how America benefited him and changed his life for the better! Thank you for the great review of the book and fueling my interest in it! :techie-reference:

You did a great job with the review! Even though I usually avoid religious books, I am curious about the Korean peninsula in that period. Sounds interesting for me, from that perspective.

Judging by the well written first chapter or two I must say that I am excited to read this book. We cannot control our circumstances at birth or in our early years but we can change our future through grit and determination and faith. I look forward to immersing myself in this story.

Thanks for your review. Mr. Moon's life sounds quite bizarre and eventful. It's good that he found peace in God.

I am always fascinated by life in North Korea but not in a good way. I feel like North Korea is the saddest country out there and whenever I see stories about, I always read or watch it. I'm curious whether what we see or heard from fiction stories are true or not. I also think that this is one of a kind book, what are the odds that this book is also about Christianity knowing that there is no known religion in NK? Very interesting book. Thanks
