This is really fascinating, and it sounds the book contains many incredible lessons. I like the fact that it is narrated from the points of view of both sisters enabling the reader to see things from their perspectives. I have added the book to my shelf. Thanks for the review.

It's inspirational to know that Sharon and Lisa were there for each other since childhood. Dealing with addiction is such a difficult journey, so it's great that Lisa wasn't alone and that she could count on Sharon's support. This memoir emphasizes the positive impact family can have on each other. Readers can draw many valuable life lessons from Sharon and Lisa's experiences. Thanks for the insightful review!

Although it sounds like these two have been through a lot, their story doesn't resonate with me right now. Maybe I'll read it some other time. Thanks for the review.

This memoir seems like it's going to evoke deep emotions in me.
As a lady and a mother, it hurts deep when your one of your children falls into anything short of success. Awesome review.

This sounds like a really self-introspective read (which is great for memoirs), and it being well-edited is also a massive plus. Thanks for the review.

In Hindsight: The Story Of How Two Sisters Hurt, Hindered, And Healed Each Other, written by Sharon Bonanno and Lisa Scott, narrates the life story of two sisters, Sharon and Lisa, who have gone through a lot together. Their parents divorced when they were kids, and they stayed with their mom thereafter.

As time went on, things were not smooth for them, with their dad becoming virtually nonexistent in their lives, their mom having to work two to three jobs to take care of them, and to top it off, Lisa becoming diabetic at age six.

Fast forward to their adult lives, Sharon has a rewarding career as a teacher and is married to Anthony, with whom she has three kids. Lisa, on the other hand, is floundering through life, a drug addict who is hurting herself and everyone around her. Soon, things come to a head when Sharon, together with their mom, stages an intervention, finally confronting Lisa about her addiction and the hurt she is causing them.

The official review was an excellent summary of this book. The story was written by two sisters and as I read it I could picture them going through life, one very successful while Lisa was a failure with a drug addiction.

Lisa and Sharon are sisters who have come together to produce this memoir of how their lives went down different paths. They discussed various topics like drug addiction, second chances, etc. The book has an excellent rating and a commendable review.

On the other hand, I would not blame Lisa for the kind of life she has chosen. Growing up without a father is quite a difficult thing. Certain disciplines would not be there.

I hope Lisa does not allow her family to plunge her into such destructive habits. Sharon and her mum will hopefully help her out it. I want to see the outcome.

It can be painful for parents to watch one child do so well and the other one struggle. Close-knit families often feel it more. I'm glad they all found healing finally. This sounds like a touching book; thanks for the review.

I have a brother who is an addict and a pusher, my dad was too. I am honestly struggling to understand them but this can give me perspective that I’ve never seen or understand before regarding addiction. Thanks. I appreciate this kind of book.
