This is an absolutely fascinating topic. In my Genetics classes in college, we had heated debate on eugenics and the impact it would have. Many took the religious route while others stayed more scientific. It is hard to discern where to stand really because so many factors play a role. I agree with the reviewer on one thing. This country spends money needlessly on things which do nothing and provide no outcome. As of 2021, the US has spent over $1 trillion for the "war on drugs" which doesn't yield any results. The money should be allocated elsewhere so why not a cure for something.

This scientific non-fiction book is about  Eugenics, and covers cloning and genome editing. It sounds like a hard read and not something I would be interested in. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Nice review! Thanks to the reviewer.

Thank you for your great review. I know a lot about in vitro fertilization, but even that can go deep into trying to have perfect chosen children. Sometimes I feel scientists take a good thing and ruin it by going too far in my opinion. I agree it would be nice if more money was spent on everyone equally could have good healthcare.

I've always been fascinated with cloning and how it can be updated to work properly for both animals and humans. Eugenics is a term I have never heard of before, so I think this book will be a great start for me. Congrats on being BOTD!

I like how the official OnlineBookClub reviewer disagreed with the author. Both individuals have a valid reason behind their reasoning. It is brilliant that Conrad Quintyn not only focused on the facts and figures surrounding eugenics but also offered his opinions that are backed with scientific evidence . Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

Like you, I am a Christian, but I do not think that this type of science is morally right. Because of this, I will be passing. But I did like how insightful your review was and how honest you were about your thoughts on the book. Thanks! :)

This seems to be controversial; I'd like to read both the facts and opinions that will come from here and see what I'll think. This interests me but I'm still surprised to like a non-fiction like this. :lol2:

This review makes this book worth picking up. It makes me very curious about what the book entails. I already have a couple of books on my list of books to read but this one already takes precedence in that list. I've read a little bit of the book and it had been able to keep my attention so far. I really would like to know the author's opinion on this subject. So, I will be reading on. Congratulations on the book of the day.

This sounds like an intriguing read for anyone who is interested in the topic. Even though this is not a book for me, I am glad that the author was able to take a scientific look at things without personal bias playing a main role.
