I am still learning much, and it is indeed surprising that the Nigerian economy was doing far much better than it is today. I am sure that in such an uncertain environment, the protagonist had to contend with lots of risks and ups and downs in his such. The fact that both countries are unwilling to aid a desperate family is saddening. I look forward to enjoying the story.
Many thanks for the review. :tiphat: :tiphat: :tiphat:

Mr. Spradlin must have been a bit despondent when both the Swedish and US embassies refused to assist. It will be interesting to read how he proceeded. The Israeli rescue mission in Uganda was world news and whether for or against the action, one cannot but admire the efficiency of the rescue team. It will be fascinating to see whether Mr. Spradlin was able to complete his mission and find Freddie, or at least determined what had happened to him.

'Official Review: Quest: Finding Freddie' by Thomas Richard Spradlin is informative and enriching. The book is based on real events. The point that this is the story of the disappearance of Mr. Frederick David Nachman of the Nachman International Trading Corporation on August 14, 1976, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos is worth mentioning in the review. The book tells the readers about the author's exploits in Lagos. Readers would find the right amount of suspense as well as great humor in the book. Also, as mentioned in the review, this educational book has in-depth discussions of Nigerian history and politics. Learning that the book is rich in culture and diversity was great!

A stellar review of " Quest: Finding Freddie."
The disappearance of Mr. Frederick David Nachman of the NITC in 1976 "at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos " is disclosed through the narrative of this book, which is based on actual events ( the names of the main protagonists are changed for privacy).
Mr. Spradlin takes the initiative of searching for Nachman, which places him in dangerous encounters.
It is a gripping story that requires further delving into, no doubt!

I like it that Thomas has premised this book on true historical accounts of the Nigerian politics, which will give readers a chance to interrogate the politics if xenophobia and racism. Thanks for the wonderful review.
