This is an insightful review. I haven't read the book yet, but your reflections on its exploration of suffering and the nature of God's love are striking. It seems like a profound and thought-provoking read that could provide a new perspective on questions I often ponder.

Questioning God for all the suffering has always been something I ve been interested to know more about, some suffering are really unexplainable and cannot be justified I'm intrigued to learn how the author potrays this in his book The Advent of Time

Indignus Servus works to make a case for a loving, all-powerful God and the existence of pain and suffering. Realizing that God does love humankind, and that evil and suffering do exist on the fallen earth, can cause confusion until the nuances are examined. In "The Advent of Time" the author tries to define God and the role humans had in creating a suffering world. Not just by the choice of freewill, but when the fall placed the Earth under the constraints of time. All creation is groaning awaiting Christ's return and Earth's return to perfection.

I like that the book explores questions people have asked about God and His ways from time immemorial.

Most importantly, I'm glad to know that the author went beyond the norm and included scientific references in their writing.

Although I am of Christian faith, (Baptist at that), religion and the Bible have me questioning anything and everything. This may not be a great book for me, but I appreciate your review.

"The Advent of Time by Indignus Servus is a Christian book that explores God’s being in-depth, providing details about God’s prioritization of love over all other factors, including justice." A thought provoking read skillfully presented by the reviewer.

In The Advent of Time, Indignus Servus analyses suffering and God's love from a Christian perspective, referencing several religious books to help readers understand the magnitude of God's love for humanity. The book can also provide comfort in times of suffering when we feel distant from God.

Indignus does not deny the existence of evil and suffering but says that it is not God who causes it. The real problem is when human beings choose not to love when they close their hearts and live for themselves.

This is a book with a Christian theme in which the author poses certain questions to himself, where as he answers them, he will not answer himself. This type of reading is recommended for those who like writing styles and themes related to the Christian religion. Today's option #botd

It’s rare to find a book that courageously addresses free will and determinism.
Your mention of Dr. Sapolsky’s work adds another layer of depth all will be curious to read it.

I also read this book, and I agree with everything you stated in your review. I am also intrigued by the reference material that the author draws from.

Like you, the issue regarding the pain and suffering of innocent people has always bothered me when considering the concept of an omnipotent and omnibenevolent God. While we may not agree with the author's explanation, it did make sense. Not only is this a fascinating publication, but, as you mentioned, the text is also well edited.

Thank you for your insightful review. :techie-studyingbrown:

This Christian book delves into why God allows suffering, and the role of free will in decisionmaking. The author also explores the existence of hell despite the assertion that God is all-loving and omnipotent. The book is thought-provoking, and lovers of theological debates will learn much from it.

Well, I am excited to know that several sources were referenced while exploring some of the issues we grapple with and really appythe author's attempts at such complex discourses as determinism and man's responsibility for his moral choices. I applaud the exceptional editing as well. But most importantly, I hope I find in this book my answers on God's role in the affairs of mankind.
