I'm not into self help books, but this book sounds interesting.I'm curious about the advice the author gives about dealing with difficult people. Great review!

I'm intrigued to read this book because I am positive it could be of great help to me. I am one person who has made risky decisions in life because of the difficult situations I found myself in. Now I'm starting to wonder if I was the difficult person or they. I'm this person who wants to hurt you more if you don't want to do something as I want. I dropped out of University, a big blow to my parents just because they didn't want to rent me an apartment outside school. I also lost my fiancé because he felt I was too controlling, even though I haven't read this book, I feel like am the difficult person. The question is, will I find a solution for myself in this book? Thank you for the review though.

I have two sisters and two parents who are difficult (though it's possible they think I'm the difficult one, my therapist disagrees) and I sympathise with the author. She gives some very useful tactics here for dealing with difficult people in your life.

I always love books which deal with characters or personality of a person. I believe that this book will help to understand those people who are hard to understand. Thanks for the detailed review.

This isn’t a book I would just pick up to read. I’m not into self-help but I’m interesting in hearing the stories of the authors own experiences. I’m sure this would be helpful in many ways to everyone, even if you are the person that’s hard to get along with.

Am just wondering how many people view me as a difficult person because am sure we all have weaknesses and can end up being labeled so. Therefore am picking this book because it will come in very handy. Thanks for the great and detailed review.

Wonderful review here, it is very informative. The book is really important. I like the approach of using thought-provoking exercises in a book since it offers an opportunity to apply what has been discussed. I will have to read this book.

I strongly agree that this is a very important book for many people, and even farther away, for the 'difficult people' themselves. We all need to learn to communicate more effectively with all types of people. Thanks for asuch a great review.

The topic about avoidance is interesting. I also like the fact that there are instructions on how to deal with this issue. Nice review!

I don't think that this book is for me. If I don't want to have someone in my life I would be honest and let the other person know. Also, I think that every person is different you can't account how someone will react a certain way. I don't like reading self-help books, so I am going to pass on reading the book.

Dealing with a difficult person can be cumbersome. I like that the author equips the readers with tools necessary that would help muster up courage to have a discussion with a prickly person. I find the book useful and encouraging. I want to read it. Awesome review.

This book is definitely one that I'm sure most people can relate to. At one point or another, we've all encountered someone whom we found difficult. I agree that most of us try to cope with this by avoiding. I'd like to read about the techniques that the author provides for handling these situations. Thank you for your lovely review!

I already have this book in my to-be-read list. This is going to be really helpful, as you can judge how the people whom you interact with perceive you. More often than not, we are being "difficult" unknowingly, and have no clue in the world why others are avoiding us all on a sudden. I agree with you that this book will be very effective to induce self-reflection. Thanks for the insightful review!

I'm actually not surprised that many difficult people don't realize they are that type of person because everyone has their reasons, like the author's experience with her family. I think this book sounds like an excellent tool for anyone needing help in this area. Thanks for your insight!
