From a sampling, this seems like an interesting autobiographical accounting of the Schneiderman Family Furniture stores. While I do not usually read biographical works, this one would be good for those interested in this field of business, because the book contains many pointers for getting customers and being a good business. Well Done.

Thanks for a really interesting review. I enjoyed the sample which included some good business tips. The author's down-to-earth nature and sense of humour is very much in evidence. I will surely read the full autobiography.

This is an amazing book. Thanks for the excellent review of the book. It is very educative and informative. The most notable thing I am noting is how he was able to make drastic changes even against his father's wishes and yet the company still progressed. Thanks for the review.

The title of this book is somehow imbued with comical interpretation. It didn't see what I was expecting to see when I peeked at the title, because the review was completely different from my own d perspective of the title.
The book is a good read I believe. Thanks for the comprehensive review.

Excellent job on review. This book sounds like it has a lot of lessons on family, working together, and staying focused on building a better life. It sounds like it has humor also which is good. It Is a short read, so I am considering reading this one for myself. Congratulations on BOTD.

This sounds like an interesting read for those who would enjoy to read the success of Schneiderman and his furniture business. It's nice that he offers wisdom and advice. I didn't realize that he didn't use advertising and bartering, so it's interesting how successful the business is. Some humor and sentimental aspects sure makes this sound like a balanced memoir. Don't think this is for me since I'm not a fan of retail business, but I'm glad you enjoyed this one immensely! Thank you for sharing!

I really like real life stories, stories of survival, stories of sacrifice own happiness for children. These stories teach us to find happiness within the small moments of love. We always wait for the big good news but we forget to celebrate our small moments which make our family actually happy. Love this book.

Call of the Couch by Larry Schneiderman is a #Memoir that shares #Wisdom about the Schneiderman's and their furniture #Business' successes and challenges. Congratulations for winning both Midwest Book Awards and Axiom Business Award!

I love the quote you mentioned:
A wildly low price isn't always what it appears. Consider the apt maxim: When you buy quality you only cry once.
I will surely look at the enclosed photos peppered in the contents. Thanks for the review.

I enjoyed your review very much! Thank you! Although I am not in this specific line of business, I think we all could learn something from today's BOTD, as we all are in the business of life and relationships in one form or another. I'm looking forward to reading this one - thank you to the author for the free book! :-)

The title itself draws me, but this review makes me want to read it even further. I like reading humor, and seeing businesses through a point of view not mainly on money but on everything is something I would love to read.

From the book, Larry enjoyed his job as a furniture salesman. He saw himself as a peoples pleaser, which led him to getting in the business in the first place to please his parents. However, he loved pleasing the customers. Great lesson to learn from a salesman, the customer comes first. Great humor in the book, great read. Enjoyed it totally.
