Well, of course, being human each of us will be called on to do the ways of men, inevitably. But for the time being, it should not be about " Dying Well" but rather of not dying yet. And that is aligned to the question what use will it be to be immortal if all the ones you love were all gone? I don't usually read books on this subject, where one is already on the edge and is about to go over. I wanted to dwell on bright subjects where there is never any doubt as to whether the sun will still shine tomorrow. Not on that subject. Survivors' stories are not good stories to read for me because I don't want that someone has to be subjected to such trial in the first place. Anyway, great review.

Thank you for this nice review! It's a touching story which should be read by almost everyone to understand what people go through during those times. The quote also made me eager to read the book. It also reminds of my life. Thanks again.

I'm a great fan of memoirs. I like it that despite being a book about death it radiates so much positivity. I love it when I learn from other people's experience and to me this is a worthy-to-read book. Thanks for your review.

This memoir seems like a touching story on how the battled cancer and loos due to cancer. The fact that can shine beams of hope means it can be of much help to those who have also passed or are going through the same. Thank you for this wonderful review!

While I can usually handle the heavier topics in books, death--especially death by cancer--can really get to me. However, the fact that this book approaches it in a, to borrow the book's words, celebration of life makes it much more appealing to me. Not all endings can be happy, but we can still find the good and happiness in the dark times. It might just be the only way to keep ourselves going. Thank you for the helpful review.

Thank you supergirl1 for this short, simple and hepful review. The topic of death itself is of interest to me and way of approaching it with positivity, infact welcoming it with warmth and grace fills me with peace. I couldn't get the book for download and will sadly accept it. I will wait for the book.

Supergirl,

I loved your review. I just finished reading the book myself and experienced the full range of emotions that you described. When reading the book, did you find yourself wishing that she would have told the story from not only her viewpoint, but Bruce's as well? Based on the love and communication that was obvious through their marriage and during the time of this book, I would think that they often talked about what Bruce was thinking and how he was feeling, so it would have been very doable.
