This book on leadership from a former military man, who has held many leadership positions in the military; home and abroad sounds inspiring. I'd like to know more about his personal life outside the military. I hope that was touched in the biography.

This author has the gift of story telling it seems. And in top of that he's a great leader as well as a teacher. I'm always interested in the stories containing the experiences of the men in forces. Thank you for a great review.

I am a teacher, and it is one of my deepest desires to inspire my students to the best potential heights they can achieve. If this author's tales regarding being a military commander are applicable to my situation, I'd love to give it a try. I'm also curious about his recount of the 9/11 historic event. Thanks for sharing.

There are many books on leadership, but it's a good thing to study the subject from the perspective of high-class military personnel.

We can always do with a few tips on how to a be a better leader. In fact the world needs more people who are worthy of emulation. I am certain that Mr. Whelden's experience with the military will shine a very unique light on quality leadership.

This sounds like an interesting read! It's great that it is so well-edited. I can imagine all thenames would be distracting, but it's nice that it didn't affect your score.

This book sounds like it could be a good source of information and inspiration for those looking to be strong leaders. After all, one would hope that someone who has climbed the ranks in the U.S. military would have strong and practical leadership skills (otherwise, we’re in more trouble than I originally thought). It should be worth the read for aspiring leaders of all industries. Thank you for the helpful review.

Looks like Mr. Whelden has lived a life of learning and discipline. I can see why he would be a good authority on the topic of leadership. I have seen that books which are even partly biographical tend to have a lot of people mentioned in them, so I am not surprised at that aspect of the book.

There had been many books on leadership. Some are instructional manual type giving you piece-by-piece advice, but this one illustrates with life stories. Thanks for the review.

My attention has been grabbed by journals of those effected by the war but never a man in the action. It is very wonderful that the biography enables us learn fascinating things about the U.S army and the U.S Marine Corps.
