Thank you so much for your honest review. If someone asked if I like poetry, I would probably say yes. But do I understand it, the answer would be no, I don't? I enjoy the rhythm and sound of the poems mostly. I think this would be a good book for me so I could really understand and enjoy it more.

If you like poetry, then this book is for you. If you like poetry but find it difficult to grasp the intimate words that the poet uses in a descriptive form, then this book is for you because here, in this book, the author gives a clear understanding of the poetry, a step by step interpretation, and in a very amusing style.

Great review.

A guide to help understand how to read and interpret poetry seems like a necessary book for anyone who has trouble reading poetry. Great review!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting book about the reader how to comprehend poetry. As someone who enjoys poetry, this was an interesting book and is worth a second look. Well done.

This is one of the rare books that teach about poetry. I am interested to know the 12 commandments that the author has laid out. This has caught my attention. Thanks for the review. Congrats on the BOTD!

I've never read a book on poetry before, so I'm quite intrigued. It's very awesome that this book also helps the reader to understand better by using the 12 commandments.

To learn the steps, practice, understand, interpret and appreciate the complexities of poetry as taught by the author of the book. Though poetry is a complcated form of art writing, once learned and practiced thoroughly, will mean proficiency.Your review had me more clarified on what the author of the book wants to impart to us readers. Thanks.

This is a useful and valuable book. I find it important that the book has probably been updated with an easy-to-understand methodology. I like knowing that the author provides you with vocabulary and entertainment at the same time, which makes this a fresh read. Thanks for this detailed review.

Reading through Making Sense of Poetry, I was hooked by the simple --not necessarily easy-- flow and delivery. Rex W. Last did a great job of simplifying what is ordinarily an arduous task. From the etymology dives to the humor employed, this book makes learning poetry fun and engaging.

I agree with the reviewer, this book deserves a 4 out of 4 stars rating.
