It seems the author had to face two enemies; one outside and an internal one. I have also read such stories of racism in the armed forces, but this will help to expose how widespread it was and the effect on an individual. Thanks for the fantastic review.

I love the word war in this book. It is concerned with the military affairs. Nice review!

Good to know that there is always more to our history, so much was not captured in published history books. Thank you for the review.

I had relatives who fought in the Vietnam War and I have known several service people of every nationality who also fought. They were never good stories, and some were far worse than others. Good review

Love to see the 56 pages book narrating a story through which, two big issues are raised. Being black on that time, and fighting veteran.

As someone who lives in Southeast Asia, I'm curious about a Black soldier's experience as he participated in the Vietnam War. It's nice that the author engaged himself in the culture of the Vietnamese. Were they nice or cruel? Congratulations on the BOTD.

This review of the account of a black soldier in the Vietnam war is really interesting because as the review says, this is not just all about mud and blood of wars. I want to discover the experience of the black soldier and how he experience discrimination during this war. Congrats BOTD!

An account of a black military veteran during the Vietnam War. This seems interesting, considering that the book delves more into the history and social reality at the time. Congrats on botd!

My “Enemy” in Vietnam, by Billy Springer gives an account of the author as a US soldier during the Vietnam war. The issue of race is highlighted. This book is different because it gives an account of the Vietnam war from a black soldier's perspective unlike popular books.

I try as much as possible to avoid war novels or those written by someone serving in the military. This is because it creates some images in my mind that I hardly recover from. But this is a great book.
