I have never understood why people think emotions are useless or a weakness, I do believe they plan an important role in both the professional and personal life. I enjoy the approach Contine and Holt have in this book, I will definitely add this book to my list.

I am not usually into business books, but this one sounds interesting. I can see how sometimes it can be difficult to separate emotions from business, depending on a person's job. So learning some tips and tricks on how to identify those emotions could be useful. Thanks for your helpful review.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting self-help book about how to understand and use their emotions in a positive way to improve their workplace experience and performance. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

I can see how this may be beneficial to some. I’ve never put much thought about emotion in the workplace but your review shows how the book details how it can be necessary to look at. However, I’m not big on this portion of non-fiction so I don’t think it’s a book for me. Great review though!

I agree with you. I know that we should have that kind of skill for us to survive in this world. I want to widen my knowledge about this so I am hoping that this community would help me. :D

This non-fiction is is geared towards helping the reader attain a state of high emotional intelligence in their business life. Should IQ be over EQ or EQ be over IQ? Or are we missing out on something more important than these two? A well written book and a good book review. Congratulations on the BOTD!

Thank you for a great review. I can honestly say I didn't really understand the concept of EQ until I read this and the excerpt from the book. Great job!

This sounds like a great book for business students. Emotions do play a part when working, as we are all human and cannot just tune our emotions out as if they do not exist. Thanks for the review!

Thank you for such a great review. I wish I had this book to read in the early part of my career life. I do believe emotions play a big part in our careers. Since I am now retired, I'm going to pass, but I think this would be a great read for many who are still working or even just starting out.
