Very intriguing I would love to journey through all those experiences with the author. Thailand has always been a place I would have loved to visit.

A memoir of the experience of Jim Jouppi brings to light the peace corps and what they are involved in. I like the approach to overcoming negative emotions and choosing positivity at all times. The language learning technique is new and it is something I would like to try, overall it is a good review.
Also with his memoirs, Thailand sounds to be an interesting place to visit

This book is a memoir of the author, sharing his experience as a volunteer in the Peace Corps Program in Thailand. The author shared about his struggles in a foreign country and also the interesting story of the time when he fell inlove with a local. Congrats on botd!

Thank you for sharing your review with us. I am currently not interested in reading memoirs about experiences in the peace corps, so I think I will pass on this one.

The author has worked as a volunteer for the Peace Corps program and has tried to share his insights through this book. He finally decides to go home, but his prior plan is forgotten when he falls in love with a Thai girl. Congratulations on BOTD!

This is a good review. I would like to read the book to find out more about the peace corps program. What impresses me is how James managed to pull through his service despite all the hardships he encountered.

Volunteering, love story and diaspora survival. The struggle is real and this memoir is appealing to me.
