Having read a thorough review of "In DeLorean’s Shadow: The Drug Trial of the Century," I am captivated by Stephen Lee Arrington's journey from involvement in drug smuggling to self-acceptance and redemption. The positive aspects of the book, including the author's introspection, religious beliefs, and the inspirational nature of the story, have piqued my interest. The lack of significant negative aspects and the book's excellent editing contribute to my eagerness to explore this autobiography. I appreciate the insights into accepting one's shortcomings and the redemptive power of faith. Adding it to my reading list for a compelling and enlightening experience. 📖

Seems like an account of quite a tough life. I appreciate that the author uses the narrative as a guide for accepting one's shortcomings and accept consequences of one's mistakes. I think those are important things to learn.

It’s impossible to even imagine how fearful this journey must’ve been for the author especially after being arrested. I’m glad he found his strength through the Bible and I admire his courage to share his tale with the entire world. Congratulations on the BOTD!

"In DeLorean's Shadow: The Drug Trial of the Century by Stephen Lee Arrington is a gripping autobiography spanning 26 chapters and 424 pages. It starts with Steve's encounter with Morgan, a drug smuggler, who pressures him into co-piloting a plane to Colombia. Despite his initial refusal, Steve reluctantly agrees, only to find himself embroiled in the dangerous world of smuggling. When Morgan fails to pay him as promised, Steve realizes he wants out, but it's too late—he gets arrested.

The book offers valuable lessons on accepting responsibility for one's actions and the consequences of one's choices. Steve's unwavering faith in God shines through, especially in moments like when he performs CPR on a student. The final chapter encourages readers to embrace Christianity.

So, the book is a touching and motivational read, free from any flaws and expertly edited. The only downside is encountering an inmate named Loco, who confides in Steve about his AIDS diagnosis, urging him to keep it a secret to maintain his relationships. Nevertheless, the book leaves a lasting impression with its powerful storytelling."

Hi @Ram Uday Mahajan, I agree with your comments on this book. I have purchased the book to read the entire story that happened over 40 years ago. A very interesting book that kept some facts out of the sample and official review. @Mrlefty0706

Hi @Smrithi Arun, I agree with you. Arrington found God and put his life in His hands. Believing in God and living a god life while helping the less fortunate should get one to Heaven. @Mrlefty0706

This review sure throws a lot of light on the book, and I'm glad for the moderator's note at the end that further clarifies the privacy issue. Most of all, I like the authors attitude and perspective in all he went through, and I'm superglad he made peace with God.

Hi @Kibet Hillary, I also am glad that Arrington found God and begged his forgiveness and guidance. This helped him make it through prison and helped him change his life for the better. He even recommends that all readers should give themselves to Christ, live good lives and help the less fortunate and they can spend eternity in Heaven. @Mrlefty0706
