I have not heard of the term quadriplegic before and was wondering what an engine had to do with all this but when I read your detailed review, I got clarity on these issues. I'm glad to hear that Mike was recuperating after the accident. Congrats on BOTD!!

I will love to know more about Brown-Sequard syndrome. The inability to walk might be due to spinal shock. For the Little Engine, I love the fact she believes in herself. Nice review. Congratulations on BOTD.

Compelling book but sadly self-help guides are not my thing. But I'll definitely recommend this book to people interested in the genre. Congratulations on being listed as Book Of The Day.

What an inspiring and motivational memoir. It takes great strength inside and out to overcome the impossible. Mike never gave up on walking. I am glad he wrote this memoir to inspire others. However, I must admit his experience is exceptional. Can every paraplegic overcome the same?

Always love reading memoirs, there are always impactful lessons to learn from them. Mark has gone through a lot in life, it's courageous of him to write down his experiences. Am sure a lot will learn from it. Thanks for the review.

Some times of tribulations and problems i think just want to test ones courage. Being courageous is very good, being able to stand even when others sit is very good, it makes one be known for good. Mike tried a lot. There are some phases of life that just need you to stay strong.

I like the inspirational nature of this book. It is quite heartening that it's authored to give encouragements to, among others, victims of quadriplegic. Thank you to the author for a free promotional copy available.

One Step at a Time: Memoir of a Former Quadriplegic is very inspirational as readers get to realize that victory starts within, as Mike told his Physiotherapist that he was going to go mountain climbing again and take pictures of himself though he had 10% chances of ever walking again, the book encourages readers not to lose hope but to believe that as humans we can overcome our situations which seem impossible to others, even our own family members can lose hope in us, but as individuals we have the final say about the situations we are faced with.

No challenge is impossible, and I am glad to see that Mark was able to overcome his challenge, no matter what everyone else told him. This ought to be a great read. Thanks for the review!

Nothing beats believing. No matter the circumstance, if the believe and faith is there, things would eventually turn for the better. Once review, congrats on BOTD.

I like the title of the book one step at a time as it goes along so well with the story.Mike showed perseverance, courage and patience to go step by step on his journey to walk again. I really like that despite discouragement by his therapist he didn't deter in his faith that he could walk again. I love how the story teaches the readers to have faith to persevere and to never doubt our potential. Congratulations to today's BOTD.
