This is a must read for me. Thanks for the wonderful review. You have highlighted the important concepts in the book and I'm convinced that this book is filled with some important management principles. Nice to see that the concept touches on all areas of management starting from hiring to retention and much more.

A useful book for businesspeople and HR professionals. I like the author's philosophy of maintaining a respectful ambience in a workplace. However, this book is clearly not for everyone. Thanks for the enlightening review.

Managing With Respect by James P DuBreuil is for business people. I found these kind of books a little boring. Though, it has a lot of information which will help people. Business people will find this book very informative. Congo on #botd.

Thanks for the review. If one wants to be treated with respect then you need to treat the other with respect too. Respect is to be earned. It cannot be commanded. I have been working in corporate office for a long it and this has been my approach to my subordinates too which helped me develop great rapo with them. I do not read non fiction so will pass reading this.

This looks like a book that would be perfect for those in a leadership position. But I think that could be useful in day to day life as well. Thanks for the review.

I'm not really into this kind of books, but I could definitely think about people in my circle that would. I used to work with a company that had a very good structure and yet, they were always trying to improve. Also, everyone was given books, articles, and podcasts about these topics. I guess someone that works in the management area could enjoy it better than I do.

Great review! Thanks.

I appreciate the corporate guide book, maybe one time when I'm in the position I will remember what the book has taught me. This is because at any given time I could either be an employee or an employer.

An educational and easy to read guidebook filled with strategic lessons to encourage managers to have genuine respect for people in a corporate environment. I love the Golden Rule in this book: "Treat employees the way you want to be treated as an employee." I am not into management but it would help to apply this lessons to coworkers environment. Congrats.

This is a great book for employers and heads of organisations. I think think of a good number of people in dire need of its contents, lol! Who knows, I may one day be a leader too, so I better grab this one and prepare myself. Thanks for the sterling review.

Very thorough review thank you."The author explains how the model can be used to handle challenges involved with business processes, such as recruiting, setting expectations, providing feedback, employee development and career planning, recognizing and rewarding staff, retention of senior employees, diversity and teaming, safety and security management, managing marginal employees and so on. According to him, respect is a fundamental constituent in all interactions, and it can be lost as a result of negative actions." All of these topics were discussed while studying management in college and I agree that respect is important. Believe it or not these concepts can be use outside of the workplace as well. Always treat another as you would want to be treated. I think one of the bigger things in showing respect is balancing criticism with positive actions. You have to reward just as much as you criticize. That's all I will say on this, I recommend anyone read this. Congratulations on BOTD.
