It's interesting to note, from your review, how well researched and presented the book is. My initial impression upon perusing it was that there’s probably too much information for a book this small, but I haven't read it yet; some authors can synthesise incredibly well and still deliver. I hope this is the case.

This should be an informational read on the subject of racism in the US. A lot of historical facts could add to the credibility of this book. Thank you for the review!

The issue of racism dates back as far as man can remember, I wonder why it's so difficult to rid the world of it? The book title is catchy, I'd like to read this. Nice review.

It seems like a very informative read, but America and its history are not very interesting to me.

This seems like a good open discussion about racism in America, which remains a relevant topic today. I'm glad to see that the author has also included discussion of recent events such as the election and the Black Lives Matter movement. Thanks for the great review!

It's nice to listen to someone with a decades-long account of a country's history that is personal and not hearsay. I'd like to hear what Marjorie Frazier has to say to a world mostly filled with Millennials and Gen Z, especially since we're still going through some of the racial problems she went through as a young girl, albeit in an evolved form.

I think there are indeed a lot of things a black female American would be angry about. This seems to be an interesting book. I'll check it out.

I'm not that interested in America, I am so tired of their drama. But I wouldn't mind trying. I might understand and learn something good from them. Thanks.

A very good and candid review. It's unfortunate to find out that racism is still a part of America's history and it is still going on. It must have been a very painful experience for the author. I am looking forward to reading it.

The historical information shared in this book will definitely be interesting to read. Kudos to the author for sharing her life and family history with the reader while also shedding some more light on the history of America. Congrats on the BOTD selection!

True, it is a dark history in the US involving racism, but that is just what it is, history. Things are getting better for minorities. I feel that the injustices happening against white women, such as myself, are being ignored. What about disabled veterans (regardless of race)? I am that, too. I don't see anything being done for the people I mentioned. African Americans are not the only minority, and all lives matter. The murder of George Floyd was an anomaly, certainly not the norm; let's hope these "anomalies" will stop, but black women and men are not being "singled out" for persecution. That being said, congrats on BOTD, and thank you for the bravery it took to write the book, but do you think the current vice president feels persecuted right now? Thank you for the review.

I disliked this book. I am not racist but I do not support Black Lives Matter nor any race based movements. I want to know why only the United States is targeted for slavery and why I am expected to possibly pay reparations for something that I have no part in? Looking at the demands BLM wants: White people shall give their property to a Black family instead of their White children. White people shall pay a portion of their paycheck in the form of a tax to support Black famalies.... Why? Slavery started in Africa. I think to move forward, we should stop separating black from white and unite as a nation. I know that this probably will be upsetting to a lot of people, but my opinion matters just as much as everyone elses.
