I guess history is always good to know even though I don't like reading about our history I think that's the thing that's keeping us in the past thanks.

This book sounded so interesting I decided to start reading it right away! I’ve also skimmed through it (like I do every book before I start reading it) and I loved the pictures that are everywhere in the book. I can’t wait to read how the author expresses her thoughts on the matter, but after reading this interview I know I won’t be disappointed!

Your recommendation of this book as potentially useful for high school history is appropriate. The history that Robinson presents can, no doubt, be depressing, but the theme of hope is one the is most likely effective when directed at young people.

A lot of research went into this book. Tracing black history from Lincoln till after covid is no small feat. This book sheds light on how black Americans have been treated in relation to the white Americans and if there is hope for equality and protection.

You gave me a very good view on what this book is about and in what way it may interest me. I also love how you stay so objective about the opinions in the book. Finally , I like the way you sum up the different topics (Black history, civil rights, and discrimination) that way people can quickly decide whether this book is for them or not. The sensory warning may also save people from a wrong decision.

Say My Name is a provocative perspective seen through the eyes of a black woman. It is strong and bold as it discusses the obstacles Blacks endure to become relevant in American society. Its controversial but truthful. Thank you for your review.

This book is heavily focused on the lives of Black people in the United States of America. From Abraham Lincoln's presidency until the recent years, Black people faced oppression and discrimination. This book also features the names of Black people who made an impact in history. Congratulations on the BOTD.

Wow! This review is quite expository. It endears the book to us. Having said that, the book contains so much valuable information about black American history, discrimination and other challenges faced. Although the title did sound like a romance novel, I'm glad to see it contains a much more serious subject. Congrats to the author.

I believe not only younger children will learn from this book, I am sure I will as well. Not being black, not living in the US - it will be interesting to read the testimony of a person living it, and to get taught about history. I love that there is a message of hope.

Today's book of the day highlighted the atrocities committed against black Americans. The book gives an invaluable narration of black history and the challenges they have faced over the years. I found the storyline fascinating. Congrats on #BOTD!
