Odyssey of High Hopes tells the story of Cyrus Ansary's life. He started very poor in Iran but worked really hard to have a good life in America. The book talks about his struggles and how he never gave up on his dreams. It's a story about hope and trying your best.

It looks like a lovely book about an immigrant wanting to become a citizen of the U.S and fulfill his dreams. To do that, he had to overcome several obstacles but remained patriotic to his native country. I look forward to reading it. Thank you for your review!

I initially assumed this book was another typical coming of age story, but this review captured my interest into reading more. A few chapters in, and I am enthralled. I am also not usually a fan of lengthy descriptions, but in this case I am quite enjoying the deep imagery.

“Odyssey of High Hopes: An Immigrant’s Tale Of Sacrifice, Courage, and Love” by Cyrus A. Ansary is a story that details the difficulties Ansary, an immigrant, experiences while trying to achieve his goals and dreams. He grew up in Iran and he learned to excel in school. His most important goal was to be as successful as his brother Hassan, a very gifted older brother that was his mom’s favorite and Cyrus being the youngest had amazing goals. When mom became sick Cyrus had to fend for himself. One needs to read the book to learn if Cyrus was as successful as Hassan, what happened to his father and his other siblings. This is a wonderful book that focuses on the values of hard work, perseverance and achievement. I enjoyed the sample that focused on Cyrus’ early years.
