I find it difficult to read poetry as well,as the lack of action and monologue makes it difficult for me to keep my attention together. But the author has constructed the book in such a fashion that reading becomes more fun. I would enjoy reading the book of poetry. Thanks for the review!

I have always found poetry a bit abstract so this book sounds like it would be of use to me. Understanding the complexities and relevance of poetry is important and I am happy that the author has provided a resource to help people understand poetry. Congrats on BOTD.

I love poetry and all the different types that are out their. I'm a songwriter, so I love to translate my poems into song form because it make the creativity process easy.

I have never been a huge fan of poetry and would normally never go for a book that is about such, but this review has managed to convince me that this might just be the one to try out. Let me go get a cup of coffee and see how the first 10 pages feel  ...

Honestly, this sounds like a good beginner's book to poetry – I appreciate the inclusion of the etymology behind some words. Thanks for the review.

Wow
Thank you for this review. It is really alluring and makes people desire to read the book. I am not a fan of poetry because of its complexity. This book would surely open my insights with regards poetry.

I would have thought that the recommendation for this book should be primarily for students of poetry because it comes across as a formal teaching aid. Anyway, I do find that poetry can come across as boring sometimes, so credit to the author for recognising this. But the relevance of poetry would definitely interest me.
