Compelling presentation but unfortunately self-help books are not my thing. Hence, I'll have to pass on this one. Congratulations on being listed as Book Of The Day.

The knowledge given from this book can really change the course of many lives because most people go to college with hopes of finding themselves and their passions or sometimes due to influence and end up with nothing but debt. but being able to strive and work to be yourself is important. Great book and Congratulations on BOTD.

I love that the author gives a detailed account of jobs that would not require a college degree. The topic is indeed practical and relevant. Thanks for the awesome review!

The opening of this review really caught my mind. Thanks for the review. I am glad that this kind of book us out there for us to read. I wish that I could recommend it to my high school Accounting teacher, who thought that everyone in his class should have done Accounting or Finance and that everyone in his class had to go to University. If he met you after matric, he would ask,"Is it Financial, cost or specifically Accounting? If you said: "English Sir" or I'm not studying", he would make you feel ashamed of yourself. So I think that this book will really help us change our mindset as human beings and understand that we are here for God's purpose.

I am going to get this book for my son. He decided not to go the college route and spend thousands of dollars only to find he's saddled with enormous debt and no guarantee of a return. I have a master's degree, and he out-earns many of my weeks. He loves working with his hands too. Maybe this one will help him feel good in his success!

while the sentiments of the author are well-meaning, such cannot be applicable in all circumstances for example where education is more readily available instead of a working environment. At least in his country he had the chance to find employment after school, something not prevalent in most "third world" countries. There he had the chance to follow a different path, unlike most in other situations. But still the review does raise valid points.

A witty book that can be the start of many interesting conversations. I appreciate the author's insight in even making you question decisions you have already made. I consider this book to have life and work lessons that anyone can learn from. It is certainly a book I want to learn more from. Thank you for this very helpful review.

Is college not necessary? I both agree and disagree, but I'll like to read this book to see how the author achieved success without going to college. Good review.

Since most people attend college in the hopes of discovering their interests and selves, or occasionally due to influence, they leave with nothing but debt, the knowledge provided in this book has the potential to significantly alter the direction of many lives. But it's crucial to be able to work hard and be who you are. Congrats on botd!

Different strokes work for different people—blue-collar jobs for some, entrepreneurship for others. Just cause everyone is on a trend to be self-made doesn't make corporate jobs or a degree useless. Still, I'll love to read this book for its content, just to see.
