It's always a plus when an author can tell their heart-wrenching stories with a healthy dose of humour. I usually can't sit still enough to read memoirs, but I'm willing to check this out. Thanks for the review.

The hardest lives can make the best stories, but sometimes it seems like a miracle that the author survived to tell the story in the first place. For Harold to live through such a rough childhood only to encounter these new obstacles in adulthood is, while typical of life, horrible. At least he was able to turn everything around and telling his life story to a stranger in Thailand proved cathartic for him. Hopefully, writing this book was as well and can help others who relate to even some of these events. Thank you for the helpful review.

Ty for your awesome review. You have shown us so much about this story. I found the pages I read to be interesting and not to bad at all. I may read the book later on.

The author's troublesome childhood pushed him to excel as an adult. Although he had trouble integrating into society, he met an insightful man in Thailand who encouraged him to get on track. This memoir narrates the author's experience and will inspire readers.

It sounds interesting, especially since it involves afhanistan and other such places.

I also found the idea of his schizophrenic mother ranting an intriguing addition to the plot.

It probably added more humour to the book.

Thanks for the review

Life-changing books are good and, certainly, this might is one of them. I am adding it to my want-to-read shelf. Thanks for the review.

It's fascinating to observe how the author has blended all of the components into this book, particularly humour. I'm thinking to put this on my shelf straight immediately. Thanks for such an insightful review!
