The story is really heart touching as the pain suffered by Rachel Kling is very common in today's life specially among young generation. The motivation provided by Leslie Russek is very much needed and helpful for all those people going through this situation.

Thisbis pretty different from all the memoirs I read. I've never know anything about Aikido. So if I read it's a bonus that I will learn something about Aikido from this book because I inwo this will be super inspiring I'm already theilled that it's written by an empowered woman. I am super excited. Thanks!

Verbal abuse is such a terrible thing and is hardly ever spoken about because it doesn't leave physical scars on the body. However, it damages the soul, and kills one's self confidence. I'd love to read a book that addresses it and this seems to be a perfect one. I'll definitely check this out. Great review.

Thank you for your wonderful review. It seems for some to get past their past is so hard, while for others, perhaps it just appears to not be as difficult. I'm glad that the author found something to help her. I think we all need help in one way or another at one time or another. When abuse from someone that we grow up learning we are to trust is even harder.

Self discovery and knowing your worth is very important. Having parents who are supportive from childhood is crucial, many of us did not get this. Most of the time, parents opinion of their children affect their growth. That's why some adults are not as confident as others. To be able to define yourself sometimes you must remember nobody's else opinion matters apart from yours and how you view yourself.

It's quite intense of Rachel and dramas around her. There's a spark tht comes out of nowhere as Professor. Totally relatable with situations of Rachel. Thanks for this wonderful come up.

A true-life story that recounts the author's pathetic journey of life from childhood sounds like an inspiring read. I like it that the author has employed descriptive writing style. I'm a fan of stories like this one, and I would want to read it. Congrats on the BOTD!
