With cruelty involved in the book, I won't read it because I always try as much as possible to avoid books of such kind. Maybe someday I will find the passion to read them but for now they are not my cup of tea. We live in Social Space by Fred Emil Katz sounds amazing. I will recommend it. Great review.
Books are beautiful.

I am normally an avid reader of works about the Holocaust as well as about human psychology and sociology. I work in mental health, and my father was a Holocaust survivor. I might have found this book interesting, had I not come across the callous statement by the author towards Primo Levi "I would ask: What was worse than Auschwitz? Had he won another award?"

While my father was 14 when he was liberated by the Russians, the psychological scars of Nazi rule stayed with him until the day he died at 88 years old. I would expect more sympathy from a survivor towards a fellow survivor. While the part of the book that I did read seemed well-written and thoroughly researched, I felt that the author was lacking in empathy and that one cold statement turned me off from reading any more of this book.

Your review was nicely written, and thank you for sharing it.

Based on the review, I find the narrative heavy for me to comprehend. Moreover, the book seem to promote the spirit of independence an idea I'd beg to differ with. I'll pass the book. Sorry. Incredible review. Thanks.

Excellent review! I am still undecided about reading this book. It sounds interesting and informative. I am a bit curious about his four constructs and how he uses that to illustrate how people do what they do. Our country and the world is in such turmoil right now we could all use a better understanding of where our actions come from! I have put this one on my want to read list until I decide for sure.

I am intrigued by the author's idea of "spaces" in which the human race functions. It's been a very long time since I've studied philosophy, but this book makes me think about breaking that trend. I just may have to pick this one up! I greatly enjoyed reading your review!

Thank you for your insightful review. I was able to read the available sample on Amazon and enjoyed it. I want to read more for a personal understanding of the second path, how to identify it in oneself? And possibly how to see it in current society? I would enjoy reading this book. Thank you again for your review. 😌

I cannot thank enough L_Therese for the review she did of We live in Social Space by Fred Emil Katz.
And I cannot thank enough Fred Emil Katz for writing the book. Could this event in human history be erased? I do not think so. Therefore, trying to understand why it happened could protect us from such atrocities happening again. We do live in a social space and we cannot dispose of other human beings' lives.

The author seems to have a very deep knowledge of philosophy. The four attributes of social spaces have been explained quite in detail in this book. The review is quite thorough and gives the readers an overview of what the book is about. It's indeed a wonderful review.

This is a well written and insightful review, however they fail to mention what the editing is like in the text. For me that is a key component when reviewing a manuscript.

A nonfiction book written by a holocaust survivor, that sounds interesting. I am not that much into philosophical discussions specially when we think of why man kill others but I think I will give this book a try.
