I have loved the author's boldness in bringing out one of the controversial issues such as racial discrimination and also sharing a way in which it could be solved. I have to say this is a good review. Thank you.

I like reading biographies, and this book reminds me of Ben Carson's story. Racial discrimination is still a thing, but I'm glad people are more accepting of others nowadays. The humor won me over, so I'm excited to read the author's life. Congratulations on the BOTD.

Biographies are usually an interesting read, and I can't agree less that the author went all out with recounting his life. Thank you for the fantastic review.

This seems a well-written memoir that appears like a story. It also contains history: the plight of black people who could not rent a house in some localities even if they could afford it. Thank you for the succinct review!

Thank you for your review. I like the author's slow pace of narration and how he takes time to relate even the "insignificant" events. I also appreciate his talking about racism back in the day and its detrimental effect on society.

Social and economical segregation are rarely talked about and am glad the author has talked about it in this book. I love how the author freely discusses some issues that sometimes people shy away from. Racial discrimination is also an important aspect I've learnt about in this book. I love how the author potrays his personality in this book.

The author's story seems to be a very inspiring one. He was determined to achieve success despite the hurdles that came his way. That's quite commendable.

I am not really familiar with the 1960s even with films and TV shows, so I'm sure that it would be a refreshing take to learn about this time from the eyes of someone who actually lived during that era. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

Great memoir with a lot of humour but with great lessons incorporated. I like it when the author related some of his embarrassing moments but take it lightly that kind of telling the readers that things can be worse or good depending upon how it is viewed. I am surely would enjoy this book because there is humour which I like in a memoir.Congrats Botd

"The Reject Bench" by James H Morgan. An interesting story book, talks about the author's life, from his early stage to adulthood. He has love for music and friends that came into his life like Dennis Manly even his dating life. A very captivating story. Congrats on your #BOTD.
