I enjoyed reading the sample and the review of this book. I felt very sad reading about all of the losses that the author had experienced. I feel that this book is very inspirational and helpful for any grandparent to read. I am not a parent yet, but when I become one, I will be inspiring my parents to read this book. Congrats on being the Book of the Day.

Very informative review! I would benefit from reading this book. I especially liked the fact that the author has directly gone through the challenges and processes of grandchild-rearing. Thank you.

While the circumstances which can make these “untraditional” parenting arrangements necessary can be unfortunate, the families can still be strong and happy. Still, it helps to have books like this like this out there. Thank you for the helpful review.

This book is not for me, but I liked the premise. I believe raising grandchildren is more of a task given the generation gap. This book would definitely appeal to grandparents going through similar situation.

One this is for sure, the principles can be used for more than just grandchildren. It's sad that so many grandparents have had to step in and raise grandchildren, but I'm glad they were around to do it. "Hodgson invited readers to join in with the mission “to protect, care for, encourage, and love our grandchildren more each day.” I believe these topics should be apart of the life for everyone you care about. Congratulations on BOTD.

Hodgson has written about parenting her grandchildren when an unexpected turn their life takes. With the accident of her daughter causing to death. That is the moment when her grandchildren are forced to come and live with her grandparents. It is this point where she is forced to as well as motivated by their extended family to write about her experiences to cope and help other grandparents with the situation. As it has become a trend there . Hodgson has shared her experience and the ups and downs of her situation through this book. Overall it was a good read.

I like that the book is so well researched while also based on personal life experiences. It can be a helpful guide in the better understanding of the needs of children and how to communicate with them. Thank you for the detailed review.

I love this. The fact that it encourages grandparents to endeavour to do a great job at raising their grandchildren despite the fact that they might not be perceived as the right persons for the job is encouraging. I believe that whomever raises children right is the right person for the job.

it's so sad that children don't experience Parenting Love cause they are taken away from their parents or they passed, leaving the Grandparents to raise them, who are never given credit for, at all, I love that the author decided to choose Grandparents instead or actual Parents, they work hard despite their old age to raise a child.
