How amazing: a person that greatly contributes to keep native plants and animals from extinction. A biography of a person fighting to conserve wildlife sounds like a reading adventure worth taking.

'A Vanishing Kind by John Wamsley and Stephen L. Davey is a biography that gives a detailed account of the struggles that went into the establishment of the Earth Sanctuaries Limited Company in Australia.'
I think I'm going to learn something new in this book.

A book on preserving wildlife, "A Vanishing Kind" by John Wamsley and Stephen L Davey, delves into keeping plants and animals safe in their natural habitat. It was evident that the author had enough motivation and positivity for this pursuit despite the struggles and challenges he encountered. The book provides valuable info on contains valuable information on plants and animals, such as the relationship between woody pines and surrounding vegetation and tricks on keeping animals within a fenced perimeter.

As a science teacher, this book sounds fascinating! It can be difficult to find books written about topics from firsthand eyes that are not written like a research paper. It makes it all the more enjoyable to read and learn from.

“A Vanishing Kind” by John Wamsley and Stephen L. Davey is a biography that explores the struggles that went into the establishment of the Earth Sanctuaries Limited Company in Australia. John was a born bush-lover in Australia and he had a very keen knowledge of the working of the natural environment in his country. John and Proo bucked the odds and created an organization that kept animals and native plants safe from extinction. I wish there more people like them that do not want plants and animals to go instinct. Sadly, there are people that do not care about animal and plant extinction, and many are corrupt officials that are only interested in padding their bank accounts and influencing government officials to help their ill-gotten gains. This is a book that all members should read.

Have you observed kangaroos in the wild? It could be pleasurable to watch them move about gracefully in their natural habitat. However, keeping plants and animals safe in their habitat can be a daunting task.
-Kangaroos are indigenous to Australia and they are indeed pleasurable to watch. But nothing comes easy, so it can be a daunting task. By doing so, the author kept both the material and natural worlds balanced. This was quite an eye opener. Thank you.

I'm really enthusiastic about conservation. It's understandable how someone may fall in love with the untamed wilderness of Australia, with its diverse range of flora and fauna. John took the time to provide these specifics, and I appreciate that his knowledge of conservation work is deeper than most people know.

Thank you for the nice review! I love animals and wildlife, so this book is very tempting to me. I'm also a dedicated gardener and enjoy planting almost anything and watching it grow. I will put this on my list of books to read.

The review describes the book as a good book with fascinating characters and from which you can learn a lot, however it sounds like a textbook and I don't like autobiographies. I read the first part of the free sample but the way of narration bored me a little bit, so I don't think I'll be reading this book. Sorry :(

After sampling this unique work of non-fiction, I had to add this book, A Vanishing Kind" by John Wamsley and Stephen L Davey, to my must-read list. I found humor, warmth and enlightenment regarding conservatism. Great #BOTD.
