I can't imagine losing your child to an addiction that started by accident. My heart goes out to the author and her family. Congratulations on BOTD.

This sounds so interesting. Substance abuse is very traumatizing and I thinks this book would be a great help for families that face this challenge. Definitely a read for me. Thanks for a detailed review.

It's quite frightening if you consider how David was introduced to abusing of drugs. It's a story I look forward to reading. Great review.

Addiction is a serious issue, and Patricia has done a great service for all of us by sharing her son's life with us. This book is going to be helpful for many families going through a similar situation.

An author's experience, a mother's pain and an individual reality is all this book is about. Plain and unfiltered. Am sure it took a lot of courage to write this book and it must have been a route to self healing as well.
I'd love to read the book. Thanks for the book.

This is an insightful review. I agree that Patricia has presented her son's, and her story in an authentic way. Drug addiction is indeed a tragedy. For her to tell her story without covering anything must have been tough, and her courage is commendable. I hope the lessons she presents here help many, especially loved ones of addicts. This is a book I would definitely read till the end.

This book really causes one to stop and reflect about drug and substance abuse. Even substances that we take lightly such as alcohol can really affect a family drastically. I'd love to read more.

I agree that substance abuse affects not only the user but also the people around that person. This realistic story is relatable to most people, and I'd like to read more about how Patricia and her son coped with his drug addiction. Congratulations on the BOTD.

What drug addicts don't know is that the dangers of abusing drugs does not affect them alone. Amazing review. Congratulations to the author on winning BOTD.

The topic that this book deals with is very sensitive, so I hope that the author was able to discuss the subject with care. Losing a loved one to addiction is something I have not yet experienced. And I do hope fewer people get to experience it. Congratulations to the author for BOTD!

What an emotional, yet educative story. David seems like a focused child who loved writing. The accident that claimed his toes led to his misuse of drugs which made him addicted to them. I'm glad his story was used to educate other people on the need to avoid drug abuse. Congrats on BOTD.

This must have been so emotional to read. It's so sad that he got introduced to drugs when he had an accident. I pray for healing for the family. Thank you for the amazing review.

I might not be the target audience for this book, but nevertheless, I would like to read about Patricia's experiences with her son. I like that the book is honest and raw.
