Different children have different temperaments and necessitate different training methods. The sooner a parent realizes this, the better for both them and their children. The author has done an excellent job of conveying this message.

I like that the book presents graphics to support the author's idea. I appreciate how the author wrote a book that discusses the issue of disciplining children in a relaxed pleasure. Changing the mood when the child is stubborn is one of the options to make a child "yes" to what parents want them to do; it is by changing their cognitive thinking. I like the entrance message of the author, but I admit, he has the best way to explain things to this problem. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

This was a tough one for me. The author stated in the first few lines that he was not comfortable with formal English. The reviewer seemed not to notice this, and indicated there were no errors. I found the book difficult to read, but at the same time it was informative.

As recounted by the reviewer, the first character study is of a stubborn child named Kiyoshi who became more compliant after the author taught the parents to apply specific techniques. When I read the case study I assumed the writer was indeed a learned - probably professional person who's first language may not be English. Going back to the copyright section I learned that the author is Japanese, and is a clinical psychologist and retired professor at a university in Japan. Those credentials would have been appreciated had they been stated early in the review. However the reviewer never thought to include them.

My kids are all grown and have kids of their own, but I remember times when I could have used the information in this book. One grandchild is autistic, and I may read the book to be better able to understand his moods. Thanks for making the book available!

"Stubborn Children" by Norio Ando seems like a well-written and informative guide for parents struggling with stubborn children. I like that the author uses simple language and illustrations to make the book accessible and easy to understand. Great review.

Not only stubborn children but also stubborn adults are very complex and hard for communication.It is good to know some methods are being worked and those methods don’t include power and humiliation.I hope those kind of books get upper levels

I’m looking forward to digging into this book to joke how Kiyoshi’s situation will be cured by what the author said “relaxed pleasure” which is an interesting concept. I like reading nonfiction books which gives of learning to readers and this one appears to be right up my alley.

I know what it means to have a stubborn child around you, they can be strong willed and a pain in the neck. I appreciate the author for giving the relaxed pleasure method and how to apply it to different kids that are stubborn. I hope to learn more about it and see how it helps.

I love the idea of the book so helpful that parents can use to help there children but this isn't only to stubborn children but also to young adults with the sense to heel i should love it more if it contained inner heeling sometimes what changes our attitude is what the heart holds but the good side it's a great book with easy language to understand.
