This author really seems to have the credentials to teach others how to be good leaders. I am not interested in the topic, but it seems from what you said in the review that the material wasn’t dry but rather engaging. For a book of this nature and topic, that is quite the accomplishment! Thanks for more insight on this one.

There are tons of leadership materials out there. Bringing in his life tale obviously added a unique touch to the message in this book.

I like the fact that the book is sprinkled with personal stories and lots of examples from the author's long military career. Unfortunately, I'm not interested either in inspirational biographies or leadership guides. Thank you for a great review!

The review shows how the author offers insights into leaderships with actual examples from his own life. This seems really interesting.

Although this isn't typically a book I would select, your description that is free from corporate lingo makes it more appealing. Thanks for the informative review.

I'm sure everyone can gain something from learning how to be a better leader. We all find ourselves with some kind of responsibility throughout our lifetimes. Still, this isn't really the kind of book that appeals to me. Thanks for the review!

I thought this was simply an entrepreneurship book, but it's an autobiography as well. I do enjoy reading about people's various experiences in life. Thank you for the informative review. :tiphat:

I love how you've presented your perspectives on this book. It, therefore, goes without saying that this is a must-read book for anyone who has an interest in leadership functions. I've not read any memoir so far but this one is attractive to me. Congratulations on BOTD

An interesting topic from an interesting military position. I am excited to dig into this right away and learn, be educated and informed about true stories. Aspiring leaders especially those who handle people and yet unequipped could learn big from this book, based on the review. Congrats!

I'm not interested in the intricacies of leadership or military life but I find commendable that the author kept the read engaging and properly written, even if writing is not his main profession.
I'm glad you enjoyed this book. Thank you!

This sounds like a book I should read but then again I don't really want to. Might do it...I liked that the author included personal stories. Your review is amazing.
