It's fresh to read a book written by the person who experienced them. Sadly, memoirs are not my genre so I am going to pass. Great review.

Thanks for your review. This memoir sounds interesting. It's quite a surprise to know that Dr. Ghoulem Berrah has taken on so many important roles and travelled the world so many times. And since there aren't many books that write about Africa, it seems this one worth a try.

The review on Dream for Peace by Dr Ghoulem Berrah seems like an interesting read according to the review. The memoir of this doctor who travels the world and timeline focuses on Africa. It is a staged on political history and these things usually dont interest me. Too complicated. Thanks

The book details is escape, crawling on his hands and knees for hours, only to be arrested upon arriving in Pamplona, Spain. However, it is not the kind of book I usually read. I find it interesting and want to read more about him. Congratulations for BOTD hoping to read the complete book.

The book is so good that it describes events that happen behind the curtains. That's what I liked the most about it. To give an example, Fidel Castro was scheduled to give a speech that would create a dangerous situation. Dr. Ghoulem Berrah, having received the speech transcript hours earlier, said: "what if we mute the microphone after a trigger?" The official version was that there were technical problems, but in fact, it was just a clever maneuver by a gifted diplomat.
That's an amazing anecdote. I always love knowing what happens behind the scenes of important events. And I love history, so this book seems right for me.
Your opening line (and the whole review) is fascinating. Thank you!

Such an amazing, interesting life. Fortunately, the author decided to write down his experiences, which will probably serve future generations as a reference.

Thank you for this informative review. What really is interesting about biographies is that we get to know what truly goes on other than what people can only see. You'll appreciate a person more because we get to know their feelings and efforts first-hand, and it seems that Dr. Berrah did a lot of important things throughout his life.
