I was not aware of that before reading this book either. There were a couple of interesting studies that the author mentioned. Thank you for your visit and your comment.Rachel_Emmanuel wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 10:24 I had no idea that anxiety can be passed. Amazing. This is very informative.

The book references a few studies but doesn’t have many statistics—I’m just a numbers person and enjoyed the ones that were mentioned.Star_and_Buck wrote: ↑19 Jul 2020, 14:20 I won't ever like a book like this book with sk much statistics.Even though the review is a nice one.

Thanks for your comment.

Many people feel the same. Stay strong. It sounds like a helpful bookaaurba wrote: ↑18 Jul 2020, 20:38 Since I was young, I have always been anxious even with the smallest of things. First day of school? Anxious. Meeting my cousins? Anxious. Getting called in class? Anxious. Because of this, I have always viewed anxiety as a hindrance to success than a powerful tool. Thank you for writing this brilliant review!

Well said—as only you can say it, my friend!AvidBibliophile wrote: ↑20 Jul 2020, 18:38 That really is an excellent point. While stress and adrenaline used to provoke life-saving actions for survival, anxiety has now become an emotional trait that we try and psychopharmacologically treat out of people. While certain levels of sustained stress can trigger harmful cascades systemwide, some degree of anxious attentiveness is necessary to keep us on our toes and away from becoming addicted zombies. Lovely review!

I found this concept intriguing as well. It really does makes sense. Enjoy your research—it sounds exciting! Thank you for your comment.SenSen wrote: ↑21 Jul 2020, 12:07 I was very intrigued by the statement that anxiety my be passed down to later generations. I have never thought about it, but it is logical in an evolutionary sense - if mother experiences something bad, she would want to pass that knowledge to her child so it can be better prepared and has better chances for survival. I am very curious about what kind of process happens in the chromatin and will surely be reading some articles about that, along with this book. Thank you for the review!
