The 6Cs sounds really interesting. Just from this review, I was able to deduce that this author's story sounds similar to mine. I'd love to see how she navigated her life into a place she felt safe and satisfied with. Thank you for your review.

This sounds like a great book for those looking for some help through difficult situations. The 6Cs seem like they would be an excellent tool to aid in this recovery.

A beautiful autobiography that has made me want to leave all my sorrows behind and start life afresh. Would definitely recommend this book to anyone who's saying life is too much for them.

Self-help isn't the genre that I turn to. Having said that, this review is really making me consider picking this one up. As the reviewer states, the experiences that the author tells the reader about are very relatable. From the review alone I find it relatable too! Not sure about 'finding a certain 'deity'' though...

Thank you for such a thorough and inspired review! Definitely closer to reading it than I was before I read the review.

I know quite a few people that would benefit from reading this book! It is a source of hope, guidance, and inspiration for anyone that has ever had to endure abuse, emotional difficulties, or has been subject to dysfunctional relationships. Regarding helping yourself, I often use the example of a combat medic having to look out for themselves first, to not get injured or killed; otherwise, they will not be able to take care of anyone else that may be injured or need assistance.

This self-help book starts with the author's autobiography and tells how to overcome problems and feel more self-confident. I like that it stresses you are responsible for your own happiness. Congratulations to the author for writing this helpful book chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer for your thoughtful and honest review.

Unfortunately, stories like this "hit home" to more and more people everyday since alcoholism, substance use and various forms of abuse are becoming more prevalent. However, we need more stories like this to help show that these issues are real and they need to be talked about. The stigma that attaches itself to this type of topic makes it hard for people to open up and get help. It is always nice to have books to read regarding this subject that go beyond your standard "self-help" book. I believe books based on true stories impact the world more.

This is a very unique memoir aside from others I've ever read. I'm captivated by the author's style of identifying her weakness and at the same time providing the escape route through the six Cs. An insightful review.
